A delegation of opposition party leaders of Manipur came to Communist Party of India central headquarters, Ajoy Bhavan in New Delhi on June 21, 2023 and met party general secretary D Raja. Along with D Raja party national council secretaries Dr K Narayana, Rama Krushna Panda and national executive member Annie Raja were present.

The delegation explained the present volatile situation in the state. D Raja assured the delegation all support of the party for bringing back normalcy and peace in the state immediately.

Raja said that the ongoing turmoil in Manipur is a direct result of the policy of dividing the people pursued by the so-called ‘double engine’ government of the BJP. A political solution to the crisis should be reached by taking all opinions and people into confidence and restoring normalcy and peace in Manipur. CPI appeals to all sections of the people of Manipur to maintain peace and tranquility.

Later addressing the media persons D Raja said that one does not understand why prime minister is keeping quiet.

The Manipur team included former chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh, CPI Manipur state council secretary L. Thoiren, former state council secretary L Sotinkumar and others.
